We all buy shiny new things and are well aware of what we’re spending on them, yet many of us don’t like to think about what it’s going to cost us to keep them up over the long haul. Sometimes, in fact, we don’t maintain them, or we do so only sporadically. This is true for personal items from cars to appliances to gardening equipment, and, on another level, it’s certainly true for stormwater BMPs.
A research team is currently looking at maintenance costs for BMPs and is asking for your help in filling out a very brief survey. You can see the team’s message here or go directly to the survey here.
An interesting thing about the survey is that it includes open-ended questions—that is, you get to include some comments of your own rather than simply checking yes/no or multiple choice responses.
As the survey-takers note, responses will be published only in aggregate, so your individual answers won’t be associated with your name or organization, even if you choose to provide your contact information.
